Nancy Rish and the Murder of Stephen Small

I n 1987, Stephen Small, a prominent businessman from Ilinois was kidnapped while leaving his house to meet a man he thought was a police officer. He was held at gunpoint and given a script to read into a tape recorder. The recordings were played for his family during numerous ransom calls in which his family was ordered to pay $1 million dollars in exchange for his safe return. In the end, Danny Edwards and his girlfriend Nancy Rish were arrested and convicted for the crime.
