The Moorhouse Murders

Australia has its own version of Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka: David and Catherine Birnie. This couple kidnapped, raped and murdered four women in the span of one month, making some of them call and write letters to their families while being held hostage for days. Their killing spree ended when a fifth victim managed to escape. David Birnie was a twisted rapist who took pleasure in trying to sexually please his victims, all while his wife sat on a chair next to them and took notes. Literally.
