Herbert Coddington

On Saturday May 16, 1987, 14-year-old Alecia and 12-year old Monica were on their way to shoot an anti-drug video in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. They were teen models who were hired through Showcase Models by a photographer. The video shoot was supposed to only last for one day, however, Alecia and Monica had a terrifying weekend they would never forget. The man who had hired them for the video said his name was Mark—but he was actually serial killer Herb Coddington. Listen to this week’s true crime episode to find out more.

Jenna was diagnosed with high-functioning autism in 2016.  This condition made her more susceptible to the manipulation of dubious people, some of whom she believed were her friends.  Sometime on the night of August 18th or the early morning of the 19th, Jenna disappeared from her parent’s Atlanta home.  She spent that evening hanging out with friends at her own apartment and meeting up with her boyfriend who claims to have broken up with her.  Clues were left behind, leaving authorities and family to believe that Jenna Van Gelderen didn’t leave of her volition.  Listen to this episode of Crimes & Consequences to hear the mystery of Jenna’s disappearance.
